RayNeo Unveils iO Smart Glasses and GT AR Devices
RayNeo has expanded its wearable technology range with the launch of the iO Smart Glasses and two augmented reality devices, the GT and GT Max. The three products are aimed at different uses, from daily tasks and translation to multimedia entertainment, gaming and professional work.
The iO Smart Glasses are designed as a lightweight device for everyday use. The glasses omit cameras and speakers, with the design intended to provide greater privacy. They weigh 33 grams and have a small monochrome green display integrated into the lenses.
The display has a 23.5-degree field of view and is designed to show text prompts, simplified interfaces and subtitles. It can also display subtitles for real-time speech translation, giving users access to translated information through the glasses.
The iO includes the Ambient AI Productivity Suite. The system uses four microphones and a bone conduction sensor to isolate the user’s voice in noisy environments. It can listen to dialogues and, based on them, suggest calendar updates or log tasks.
Translation is handled through Timekettle BabelOS 3.0 AI software. The software supports 55 languages and 109 accents. The manufacturer states that the glasses can provide up to 18 hours of continuous use in recording mode.
In translation mode, the stated battery life is up to 6.2 hours. The two figures apply to the respective recording and translation modes.
RayNeo has also introduced the GT series of augmented reality glasses, comprising the GT and GT Max. The devices function as wearable virtual displays and are designed for gaming, films and professional work.
The GT weighs 68 grams and can project an image equivalent to a 213-inch screen. It has a 46-degree field of view.
The GT Max provides a larger virtual image, with a size of up to 307 inches and a 59-degree field of view. The wider field of view allows users to see more of the displayed content without needing to turn their heads.
The three products are scheduled for release on 4 September. RayNeo has not disclosed detailed technical specifications or pricing for the devices.
The iO and GT series therefore have different stated functions. The iO combines a small text display with AI-based productivity functions and real-time translation, while the GT and GT Max provide large virtual displays for gaming, films and professional work.
